Internet connection for PC via LAN

I have a new 4gee Wifi router which works fab for TV & wifi connections, but can't access the internet by using ethernet cable from PC to LAN port on router. 

Any advice please?

Hi @MaryG1 ,

 

Please check that when you disconnect your PC from WiFi, and connect your PC by Ethernet cable to the router LAN that the Ethernet interface receives an IPv4 address per the below link.

 

An IPv4 address is like a 32-bit telephone number so that your PC can communicate with your router so its presence is required for internal TCP/IP communications along that wire.
