Retaining Existing Number

Ether

I had to replace my ageing mobile with a new one and a new EE SIM card. I thought I could replace the new card with my old EE SIM card and thus retain my old number. Sadly my old SIM card is to big to fit into the slot of my new mobile. How do I get my old number back?

Afternoon @Ether

Welcome to the community.

Do you have a pay monthly or pay as you go account?

Speak soon 🙂

Leanne.

I have just signed up to a 30-day £10 account offering 4GB/100min/unlimited text associated with my unwanted new mobile number.

Thanks @Ether

If you give us a call on 150, our Mobile Care team can check if the number can be transferred for you.

Let me know how you get on 🙂

Leanne.

Thank you Leanne. I will. The whole process of retaining old numbers does seem somewhat fraught - but that's perhaps because I am not au fait with mobile phones!!

Take new phone & old SIM into an EE shop with Photo ID & they'll transfer number, any SIM contacts & credit if applicable to a replacement SIM of correct size for free or order a replacement SIM online at Order a replacement SIM for £1.50 or phone CS for one.
