Phone number change

JayLohan
Visitor

Hi, I recently changed my phone number due to harassment calls but it’s left me in a dilemma, I also upgraded my phone and backed it up on iCloud but for some reason my Gmail account didn’t stay logged in, now it’s asking me for a code which it can only text to my old number (which of course I no longer have access to) and this means I can’t access my email. Is there a solution for this ?

Hello @JayLohan ,

Welcome to the community,

You should be able to receive the code via other means, when you try to log-in to your email and need a code, check it out.

To contact EE customer service dial 150 from your mobile phone or ring customer service for free using Skype or another phone: +44 800 079 8586 or +44 800 956 6000.

Did you set up a secondary email address, @JayLohan?

Hopefully that would let you receive the code, as @Schockwave suggested.

You need to go into your Google a/c (not your GMail a/c) & under Personal Info > Contact Info change your Phone number & hope it doesn't want to send an verification code to your old no.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband or Option 2 for Home Broadband & Home Phone
