I phone battery drain

Hi, has any one experienced iPhone battery drain since joining EE ?

I was transferred over from Plusnet just over a month ago and have noticed the battery on my iPhone 6s does not last half as long as it use to, checked the battery use and condition and all looks normal with a battery condition of 90%. My wife has the same phone and has experienced the same issue. The battery drain appears to be worse over night when not in use , and no app’s running in the background.

Any ideas much appreciated

@Lyns30   When you look at the battery statistics, what is the battery capacity stating it is ?   You’ll find this under battery, health and charging.  Anything that I’d say below 85%, and you will start noting the battery draining quicker

can you also perform a network reset on the device?

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

It’s 91%

@Lyns30  and have you tried a network reset on the device?
what apps are you allowing to run in the background ?

what location services do you have running on the device? Have you checked any of your settings since updating to ISO 17 ?

do you have a signal showing on your device all the time, or do you ever see the words searching where the network signal should be ?

Hi Chris, you could well be right with the battery, and the Coconut software is most useful.

i purchased the phone and my wife’s phone from John Lewis some time ago simply because it was old stock and had a 2 year warranty.

Perhaps it’s time I bought a new one.

Yes Leanne, I have tried all that and spent over an hour on the phone with apple support, however  with all the additional charging and battery drainage I believe the battery in the phone is now on its way out

Chris forgot to say, last night I went to bed with 51% battery, nothing open, no apps running in the back ground and when I got up this morning it was down to 1% when you look at the battery graph, it’s a smooth decline then all of a sudden drops dramatically at 1 o’clock am . The phone was fully charged to 100%  yesterday 11.20.am.

The phone has not done that for a while, but that is what the original issue was.

Welcome to the club, my phone did the same thing last night , 51% going to bed down to 1% when I woke up nothing running on the phone or in the back ground.

I have reported a low signal in my area to the network team over a month ago but have not had any response.

I believe they should respond in 48 hrs, not best pleased with EE to be honest.

Leanne, just one other thing, I reported a low signal in my area to the network team over a month ago but have still not received any response from them, I thought they should respond within 48 hrs.!!!!

Hi @Clifford11j

Thanks for coming back to me.

Did you report this on the online status checker?

If so, did you enter your email or mobile number for updates?

Leanne 🙂

Yes I reported it on the network checker and also confirmed both my email address and mobile number, they came back with an email saying they would look into it but have not had any thing other from them.

Bit pointless really
