Apple activation lock

Stephenxiii
Explorer

So we’ve given our daughter my wife’s old iPhone 14, got a sim and set up a new Apple ID for her & set up on family thing so we can track her.

everything was fine for a few days then it kept asking for the password and then saying it was account locked

started the activation lock request but require proof of purchase, but this was over 2 years ago and don’t have these documents, check on we website and it’s only our new contracts that shows up.

is there a way to get the old phone contract through ee

Hi @Stephenxiii.

Thanks for coming to the community.

Could you confirm what message is appearing on the phone?

If it’s showing Activation Lock and requesting proof of purchase, the device is still linked to a previous Apple ID, and our customer support team can help with arranging a proof of purchase to be sent.

If it shows Account locked for security, this is related to the Apple account itself and can normally be fixed by resetting the password through Apple’s recovery process.

You'll find the PUK, to unblock your SIM after too many incorrect PIN attempts, in your online MyEE under Home > Plans & Subs > Unlock your SIM / eSIM.
