Cant connect to FTP via hotspot with EE Data but works with hotspot via wifi

If i try and connect my camera to my phone via The hotspot whilst using my data, it wont get a connection.If i connect to the hotspot whilst connected to a wifi (BT) source, it does connect.HELPPP!!!
