Another Fold 3 Black screen issue

My Fold 3 inner screen suddenly cracked while simply opening the inner screen. I have saw many posts about this around the Internet and they all have the same conclusion Samsung and your carrier refusing to help. 

 

Has anyone had any luck with getting this repaired under warranty? I took it into the EE store and they said it was so. Show my fault that the screen cracked while literally opening it, ie normal functionality and want £1500 to repair it.

 

Has anyone got this successfully looked at through warranty as I now have a very expensive paperweight. Years of EE loyalty ignored.

Yes, and without even looking at it they told me it wound t be covered. If you look at the other posts here they always do this, no matter what. Looks like both EE and Samsung will refuse to help. 

The worst part is at the store they said the solution was to just buy another phone, and that I'd still have to pay an early upgrade fee. 

EE has been great my last few phones, but this has been hugely disappointing, same for Samsung.
