Introducing the EE Community Stars

Hello everyone,

While you've been browsing the Community, you might've noticed that some users have a small star on their avatar, like this:

These friendly and helpful users are heroes. Just like Batman, but better. They're our EE Community Stars. Smiley Happy

Stars are users who have made an amazing contribution to the Community and continue to do so by helping people dailyEach Star brings individual qualities and skills to the Community. Some are experts in a particular topic, while others just like being here and want to give a little something more.

Our trusted Stars have a few more permissions than regular community members. They also have regular contact with the Community team and an inside track on the latest developments within our business.

If you’ve been lending a helping hand in the Community and you’d like to become a Star, please feel free to get in touch with me.

It's very unlikely you'll miss our Stars as you browse the Community, but just in case you do I've asked them to introduce themselves by posting in this thread. Take it away guys...

Re: Introducing the EE Community Stars

Hi, Guys & Gals,

I've worked for many years in the Computer Industry as a Software Engineer for such major companies as ICL and HP, but not really doing much in the way of networking and comms.

I have had a home Internet connection over the years through Freeserve/Wanadoo/Orange now subsumed into EE. Most of the time it is fairly reliable and fast; I get 19-20 Megs on ADSL. As I got to learn about it, I became fairly knowledgeable in it and now like to help others, not just EE users, with their queries and issues.

Nowadays I specialise in (Fixed) Broadband and the Internet, and I am, I like to believe, a prominent contributor to a leading UK Broadband forum. I joined this Community over 2 years ago with the intention of lending my expertise to helping EE users with their Broadband issues, but I dropped out shortly as I found this site too mobile-centric for my interest and there was no obvious forum/section for posting Broadband queries at that time even though Home Broadband is a major product of EE. I returned about a year later and was pleased to find that there was now a separate Home Broadband Forum.

Since returning here I have also become conversant in mobile PAYG and the Unlocking Service T&Cs. So much so in the latter that about a year ago I was instrumental in influencing EE to change its then ambiguous and misleading conditions into the much clearer ones you see today.

Re: Introducing the EE Community Stars

Hello, I'm James Smiley Happy

I was a T-Mobile customer for a couple of years (I used to post on the old T-Mobile forums - same ID) before I switched to 4GEE.

Apple fan here, having converted 100% to Macs and Apple after using iPhones since the 3G iPhone launched on that 'other' network.

I travel abroad quite a lot (mostly to the US but basically anywhere Virgin fly to lol) so I'd like to think I'm also pretty clued up on roaming with a mobile phone.

I work in the chemical industry in quality control so IT is pretty much a must for me as everything runs from a PC these days.

Hey folk,

My name is Titanium, pleasure to meet ya!

I joined back in June of this year and have enjoyed every second. The community are a fantastic bunch (yes, that includes you!) and the staff are super helpful too.

I'm 21 years old and currently work in the gaming industry - started out in Community Management, dabbled a bit as a Product Manager and now work as an Operations Manager in Customer Service. It's hectic but I love my job! Heart

I've been a customer of EE for around 5 years now - and up until recently was the proud owner of the BlackBerry Passport. I now use the Galaxy Note5 and must admit I've fallen head over heels for it!

Hobbies include 'socialising' (ie; going out on the weekend!), volunteering in the community (ex-special constable, hopeful Magistrate!) and going out for food, among other things.

I'm not a massive techie if I'm honest so when it comes to unlocking devices and all that kind of stuff, it looks like @Burge@XRaySpeX and co may be your best bet! The main thing I enjoy is just being part of a community, talking with like minded individuals and helping out along the way where I can. Smiley Happy

Looking forward to talking to you all soon!

Re: Introducing the EE Community Stars

Hi I'm Chris_B I've been part of this community now for just over 2 years.  I first came here because I stumbled upon the site and posted a few replies helping other users asking questions about iPhones that they needed help with. I'm a Apple fan but if I can help a Andriod user I will.  I pride myself on EEs unlock rules of devices and how to go about it and get it done.   I've been a iPhone user since the first iPhone but always with Orange now EE.   If you need my help just @Chris_B me in your post.

Let's get started
