Recordings ending early

I have changed to a new EE Pro from a previous BT box and the old box used to allow recordings to start a wee bit earlier and finish 5/10 after the show but the new box doesn’t allow that option on settings that I can see and I keep losing the ending to shows, the website suggests recording the next program after my scheduled program but the function to extend recording  by 5/10 mins was easier

Hi Darren.   I cant recall whether it was set up in internet mode or aerial mode.  How can I find this out ?   I have looked in Settings and cant find anything.

it happens on a number of channels.  Most recently ITV3

@Hobbins

Look on the back of the box. If there is an aerial plugged in, you are in Aerial Mode. If there isn’t, you are in IP Mode.

@Midnight_Voice incorrect. It depends whether the aerial was connected/working at the time it was set up.

Easiest way to tell is channel 101. If it exists, you're in aerial mode. If it doesn't, you're probably in internet mode.

ITV DCI Ray is one example

Date and time of recording as well please @CPC52

@DarrenDev

Or you are looking at our LG G2, which regularly throws channel 101 away 😛

Maybe look for channel 82, Talking Pictures TV?

We're not talking about an LG G2 though @Midnight_Voice, and Talking Pictures TV would also be missing if the aerial was picking up Freeview Lite, so it's not a good channel to use.

If 101 is missing then you can also look at the name for channel 1 - is it BBC One (aerial mode), or BBC One HD (internet mode) ... the name may also mention a region, e.g. BBC One London, but it's just the presence/absence of "HD" that you're looking for.

October 20th for DI Ray on ITV. It was on at 9:00. Had to watch the endings on ITVX

Are you able to provide anything more recent @CPC52 ?  Some of the important data disappears 7 days after broadcast.

Been trying not to record things now as got fed up
