No. You need to drop all the now tv stuff via EE and then subscribe to Now directly

To be honest I don’t really watch the Now TV channels live so might as well do it and they offer cinema etc for less usually via offers

@qucharsky

You can watch the Now TV channels live when you are direct with Now anyway.

You just can’t (a) record them on a Pro box and (b) have them seamlessly in an EPG.

Rarely use the live TV through the EPG to be perfectly honest and I have Apple TV box so can’t record anyway. Will wait a few weeks and see what happens. Let’s hope it won’t be too long.

100%.

If you are paying more than £9 for Entertainment and Cinema via NOW direct you are being done! If you check the threads on other forums, the target monthly price is £3.99 for Entertainment and £2.99 for Cinema which is regularly on offer when you cancel.

You can use the TV Launcher app as a full EPG on Apple TV and it works across iPlayer, itvX, Channel 4, My5, Sky Go, NOW, Discovery+ and more.

Just change the setting to immediately launch the channel when you click on it.

Appreciate that there’s no official news on when this’ll go live, but for anyone interested, there may be some testing going on.

A quick scan of the EE multicast range is bringing up 7 channels with a resolution of 3840x2160. None of the UHD channels have channel names attached to them.

I last scanned about a month ago and there was 2 - both for TNT Sport. The subtitle stream isn't encrypted so it's possible to rule out duplicates.

Obviously they are encrypted, but you can see breaking up of the image which suggests there’s moving video underneath. At least 2 also have HDR metadata.

You should check if you get UHD HDR by logging into the NOW app with your EE credentials before you do anything drastic.

Someone on the BT community has the Full Works with EE and has logged into the NOW app on their LG TV using the same credentials and is watching House of Dragon in UHD HDR and Dolby Atmos.

Some doubt has now been thrown on whether it actually was an EE Now subscription, and not rather a direct Now one, in use there 😢

Hi Darren, I signed up to EE TV this afternoon as moving away from SKY, I made it very clear with my questions concerning recording and watching Sky Atlantic in 4K with Atmos (where available) and I was told that is available with the HD and UHD add on pack.

I went ahead with the order, I’m hoping everything will be what I was promised in the phone call.

It’s coming to Now on EE TV, but it isn’t here yet. They are working hard on it, but decline to give a date.

You can only get it at the moment by subscribing to Now directly.

I’m afraid you have been misinformed 😢
