You should check if you get UHD HDR by logging into the NOW app with your EE credentials before you do anything drastic.

Someone on the BT community has the Full Works with EE and has logged into the NOW app on their LG TV using the same credentials and is watching House of Dragon in UHD HDR and Dolby Atmos.

Not for me sadly. The UHD button is there via the lg app but it says to use your bt device. Via the bt now app the UHD option is missing

Sorry to hear that, worth a try though.

Not sure how it is working for him but not you? Weird.

I’m glad I checked the posts first as I was about to ask the same question 😂 Does anyone know - I have noticed I have 4k and HD add on - does it apply to Now TV or you need both?

@qucharsky

In the context of EE TV, the HD/4K add on covers NOW Boost (original version) and enables TNT Sport Ultimate.

The new version of ‘Ultra Boost’ from NOW is not currently supported on EE TV.

Direct subscribers of NOW Boost (original) have been given a free upgrade to Ultra Boost. Subscribers via EE have not, so there is no change even if you have their HD/4K add-on.

Clear as mud?

TL:DR you get nothing but HD currently if you subscribe to NOW via EE.

Thank you. Couldn’t be clearer. Fingers crossed we won’t have to wait too long.

As a recent subscriber to EE TV, moving from Sky Q I am very interested in UHD.

Would Ultra Boost also work on the EE TV Box Pro?

Thanks, Steve

From what I’ve seen on the compatibility list it doesn’t work on EE TV boxes yet but works on Apple TV box. Hope this helps. Of course it’s not to say once EE introduce ultra boost that Now wont add those boxes to the list.

Wouldn't this mean the NOW channels go missing from the TV Guide on the EE TV app on Apple TV?

Correct @BenJones90 - if you drop the Now Sports channels from your EE TV package then you'll lose the ability to watch them in the EE TV app or from the TV Guide on an EE TV Box, but you'll gain the ability to see the UHD channel in the Now TV app on Apple TV.
