I have tried to cancel TNT Sports/Disc+ but have been told by EE agent it cannot be done as it is part of the contract. My contract with EE is until Oct '26. Looking at the forums, it looks like people don't have much success when they try to do the same. I feel that TNT sports is changing and much of the sports content is not for me. I need to find a secure way of dumping it if I can but it feels as if I am stuck with it, particularly as the contract cancellation terms may be severe.
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

Hi there @mrstiggywnkle
Thanks for coming back to the community.
Which TV package do you currently have?
Did the guide you spoke to suggest an alternative package if you no longer wish to have TNT Sports?
Thanks.
Leanne.

If you are in a contract you will not be able to remove it completely without penalty however you can switch the content to entertainment should you wish. The reaso. I am sure EE are not letting you withdraw from the contract penalty free if that they are providing what they promised, the individual sports content is due to whatever licencing deals they have and won't form part of your contract to show X sport however if it is not on the live channels it may be available on discovery plus to watch there as since the closure of the live euro sports channels the live content has become more varied to balance out the change

Thanks Leanne,
It is the standard TNT sports/Discovery+ package at about £22 per month.
Problem is I can't really afford to spend this amount when I no longer use the package.
Certainly the guide suggested a Sky add-on but pointed out it would cost more.
The difficulty is trying to understand the contract.
A breach looks very expensive but if I can find an easy way out, it would be very helpful.
On the forum various options are suggested but not seem to be successful.
