Is EETV a disappointment?

Having decided to save money by leaving Sky and moving to EETV, I am beginning to regret the decision less than a week in.

the boxes keep freezing, is this normal?

the WiFi is supposedly at a level I had previously with BT so can only assume that it’s not a network issue.

what am I doing wrong?

What make are these ‘cheap and nasty’ servers?

Yes a terrible mistake i made now tv only works on one box they want 6 pound a month to put this right even after it stated works on 2 devices .totally missold me ' also the second box is rubbish keeps resetting cant watch nothing continuing error messages was told its just a freeview box only infact its so crap iv removed it and am using my smart tv as it is so much better total waste of money told ee all about it and offered me 20 pound credit for misolding me wont do anything about it so stuck with it

Ee dont care they get your contract dont help now stuck with them worst thing iv ever done i left sky for this was with them 25 years but they was getting expensive these boxes are total crap i dont no why they supply 2 boxes when you cant watch it on 2 without paying a lot more there always going wrong ,i was promised it was all good but got missold

@User1971

Now will work on both boxes, I am sure. Just not at the same time.

Every Now customer, whether direct, via EETV, or via anybody else, encounters this choice.

It depends when you joined. Now used to let you have two devices on the base subscription, but then they changed their rules, and EETV had to follow suit.

You could take it up with Now if you are aggrieved, as a lot of their customers were.

But do you know that with EETV, you can have two Now sessions at once, if you approach it in a certain way?

While not watching a Now channel in the EPG, start the Now app on another device, and watch something. Then, on the EETV device, watch a Now channel in the EPG.

With two EETV devices, e.g. a Box Pro and a Box Mini, you can start in any sequence.

Yes i did see that but when you go into film section and try to watch a film you get some one else is watching and wants me to upgrade to boost also the ee box mini keeps resetting cant record anything thats another thing they said i could' in the end i just removed the mini and set everything up on the smart tv they also want more money for hd channels.now tv just said you need boost and ee just said you have been missold heres 20 pound credit to be honest everything is on a smart tv apart from sky movies and being able to record which is less unless you hook up an aria

@User1971

Is someone else watching, or have they just not shut down the channel cleanly, which will cause this? Don’t just exit the stream or the Now app, be sure to stop the stream that is playing. Then try the two-box recipe again.

And I would be surprised if your smart tv didn’t offer Sky Movies, at least in the guise of the Sky Cinema membership under Now.
