ITV ADDS???

I'm a recent EE customer and still within the 14day cooling off period, and I'm seriously thinking of taking it!

I just cannot get used to having to watch adverts again!

My Mrs watches the itv soaps religiously and has done for over 25yrs, and being honest I watch em too 😏.

We've just got rid of sky+ after some 24yrs where we series recorded or watched em 10mins behind and fast forwarded the ads.

I've read that another subscription in needed for ITV-X and maybe I can watch without the dammed adverts?

Anyone? ......before I cancel the contract?

As I mentioned before, I've had to pay the extra ITVX subscription of £5.99 on top of my already more expensive  EE account!

If I'd known there's no way I'd have given up Sky+. It was sooo much easier and cheaper, and in the 24yrs I had it, it went down approx 2 or 3 times and an engineer turned up in less than 48hrs.

This EE box freezes, goes off or just goes hazy on screen at least once a week.

For all those out there thinking of transferring to EE, think twice! And if you're a Sky+ customer, STICK HOLD OF IT!!!!! because there's nothing out there ATM to compare!!

I’ve mentioned that issue too but they seem keen to avoid that topic. I’ll be talking this further

@Jimbob150687 I recommend you use the "Make a complaint online" option on the page that @Leanne_T mentioned, as you seem to be getting the same uneducated team every time you try calling or chatting to us online. I can only apologise and say how embarrassed I am at the misinformation you've been given.  As I mentioned earlier, this has been flagged - we need to educate our staff better on what EE TV can and cannot offer.

I’ve tried that already but it just gets automatically resolved.

It was alluded to earlier in the thread, but there is a push by broadcasters and pay-TV platforms to move away from a recording setup onto a new online-based streaming world.

As you've found to your cost, there are shortcomings & some functional issues this "new world"... I certainly won't be ditching my Virgin Media V6 service until I'm forced to! There are other reasons, but the issues being discussed in this thread are very much up there.

Virgin are just as bad. Overpriced, useless misleading chat bots.

You used the online chat earlier - so you were speaking to an agent who created a complaint and then resolved it.

Further down that page there's a link to a webform that you can fill in with as much detail as needed.  When submitted, it'll go to an offline team who will thoroughly investigate, and then get back to you - this takes a few days.

Maybe the resolution I saw was from a different time then. I’ve submitted one using a form you mentioned.

Are the agents actual people? They chat like bots with 0 conversational and situational skills. Maybe it’s the robotic “script” training they go through but it doesn’t help

Think EE need to sort out the UHD side of things and make it clear what you actually get when you become a member… this not being able to FF thru adverts is ridiculous… I’ve not had any freezing on my Pro Box but main problems I have are UHD content… they need too sort it out with Now TV… the other issue is Lip Sync issues with Soundbars… I find the need to fix this issue… the only resolve on that is changing the sound too stereo… this maybe a software issue rather than hardware but it’s annoying… EE could have a really good product if they listened to there customers and acted on them…
