ITV ADDS???

I'm a recent EE customer and still within the 14day cooling off period, and I'm seriously thinking of taking it!

I just cannot get used to having to watch adverts again!

My Mrs watches the itv soaps religiously and has done for over 25yrs, and being honest I watch em too 😏.

We've just got rid of sky+ after some 24yrs where we series recorded or watched em 10mins behind and fast forwarded the ads.

I've read that another subscription in needed for ITV-X and maybe I can watch without the dammed adverts?

Anyone? ......before I cancel the contract?

Sky are moving away from Sky plus and Sky Q now and going for Sky Stream… think you will find I’d very hard to get Sky Q now and it will be expensive as they want everyone on Sky Stream now…

They were trying to suggest I can watch UHD content using the HD add on

The channels are listed under the package information with the relevant lists of channels in each quality, and Now Boost (not Ultra Boost) is mentioned in the description:

Skipping of adverts (or lack thereof) in each mode is listed here:

I have a HD/4k add on in my package so I questioned whether sky sports and cinema UHD were included and I was told they were. Now I’m told from sources on here that that isn’t the case at all and I was lied to

The whole itv x and channel 4 + ad free issue is a separate thing entirely but not less important. We were lied to about those too. And by doing research, people have said it’s worse quality than HD

They benefit from Now Boost is for this content to be in HD Quality as opposed to SD, but not UHD/4K which would be provided by Ultra Boost which is simply not available on EE currently.

The HD part of that addon is Now TV content, and the 4K component is TNT Sports.

Ultimately if you were advised wrong on this you will have to see out the complaints process and the only remedy which will be able to be offered is penalty-free termination of your package, they will not be able to provide you with 4K Now content. No matter what was said - it is not possible.

Simply put: 4K can not be provided currently on Now TV through EE no matter what, 4K only applies to TNT Sports content as seen in the screenshot above.

@DarrenDev has said all that can be said on this, he is the expert.

I’ll be expecting a discount Or compensation at the very least. Ive left my current (also useless) provider to join what i stupidly thought would be a better service.

Yeah I get that now.

I was also told that on my second box I could not record programs, but I could watch recordings.  Not true, nothing I've recorded can be watched on any box apart from the main box that recorded it!

Another very misleading piece of information that I was told on the sales call!

Wow that’s terrible. I think they make things up to make it sound better than it is and hope you wont notice. Some might not care or notice but savvy people would and it’s insulting
