ITV ADDS???

I'm a recent EE customer and still within the 14day cooling off period, and I'm seriously thinking of taking it!

I just cannot get used to having to watch adverts again!

My Mrs watches the itv soaps religiously and has done for over 25yrs, and being honest I watch em too 😏.

We've just got rid of sky+ after some 24yrs where we series recorded or watched em 10mins behind and fast forwarded the ads.

I've read that another subscription in needed for ITV-X and maybe I can watch without the dammed adverts?

Anyone? ......before I cancel the contract?

Also what does the hd/4k add on refer to?

No @Jimbob150687 - as mentioned above, they're not products we sell.  You'd need to buy them directly from ITV / Channel 4.  As you have bought them already, they'll continue to work in the ITV X and Channel 4 apps across all devices.  It won't apply to live TV and recordings though, so you will still be required to sit through the ad breaks.

The HD/4K add-on provides HD access to the Now TV channels, and 4K access to TNT Sports.

So I was lied to about that too. Great.

Ive already opened a complaint and i received an email saying it’s been resolved for some reason. Online chat is useless. Feels like I’m chatting to an ai chat bot with 0 understanding of situational conversation and just repeating the same irrelevant statements over and over.

If someone can read the chat I’m having currently, you’ll find it hilarious.

What did they do too resolve the issue you originally had? I’m pretty much in the same boat and find it awkward having to sit through adverts when I have been so used too skipping thru them with Sky… I also find it hard to believe the lack of UHD. We are in 2025 and I know NOW TV offer UHD with the Ultra Boost but still not available on the EE Box…

Nothing, just closed it. They keep repeatin that i can watch sky sports UHD on the HD channel or something which makes 0 sense

lol, so abit of kidology being used… HD is HD. Im sure with time UHD will come but its just EE dragging there heels… I still not decided on the Ariel yet but looking on maybe going down that route…

I think all the staff need extensive training. They’re useless and clueless. They just sell sell sell and screw the customers afterwards.
