GB News App crashing

Having real problems watching GB News…

all the other apps work fine, Netflix, Prime, I don’t have an issue with any of them, except GB News, after about 10 minutes it freezes and the only way to sort the problem out is to exit out of the app and then start it again, it doesn’t seem to be buffering as it never sorts itself out, it always requires my intervention to exit out and start again.

I’m not interested in any other news channel so that’s not a solution, anyone know how this can be fixed?

Unfortunately not, I’ve spoke to the helpline a few times and they’re not interested.

I watch GB News through a Roku stick instead now, it fires up instantly and to be honest is probably a lot easier than finding it through the EE menus…

Had exactly the same issue which went on for months, in the end received a visit from an EE Engineer, he said it was just that app and nothing to do with EE. It still freezes now but not happening as often.

It appears that the ee TV box was faulty so they replaced it....with
another reconditioned one. It took 8 months for me to say enough is enough
and cancel my TV part of the contract. I had to email the CEO to get any
refund.

Mine is the same i get the screan with the logo and thats it

to be honest ive only been with EE a short while and wish id stayed with sky

i think its rubbish

Thanks for the report @Antton - we're investigating.

I've just got back from a 2 week break, doesn't load at all now but did before I left, albeit crashed a bit. The GB news logo and screen appears, then the spinner starts spinning and never ends.

All other apps fine, if I believed in conspiracy Id start wondering if we are being fed what they want to feed us. Or maybe it's just the app developers not knowing how to fix 😊

Just started having same problem myself,new customer and been using fine for past 6 weeks but suddenly stopped working,any solutions?,tried all resets but no joy.

The issue has been confirmed to be with the GB News app itself.  YouView are working with them to fix it (as we don't have any direct relationship with them)
