I have recently changed from BT to EE. I now have a black box to control my TV, but the box comes on itself quite often which starts the TV working. I have spoken to EE support and have been given a replacement remote control but I still get the problem.
There is no pattern that I can identify about when this happens. I see other comments on this Forum about what looks to be the same problem so I am not alone.
I do not like the idea of electrical equipment out of control. Potentially this could be a fire risk.
Is there anyone with a full solution to this?

Got up yesterday to find the TV on, but NOT the EE box. Human error? 🤷
Had the TV on this morning. Turned everything off. Was out of the house for a few hours. Walked in to find it on, including the EE box. (Remotes turned away as usual).
First time in over a month it's turned on.

Arrived home from dog walk.
TV and EE box both on again, same as yesterday.
TV was used earlier, but completely turned off.

OK thanks @Boo61 - the recommendation is that you change your power settings to Always Ready for now. This should prevent this happening.
The investigation is still ongoing.

After a long time without this problem occuring after switching to "Always Ready" on 20-Aug, then to "Smart" on 01-Sep I have had no problems untill today when the box switched itself on during the night.
I'll leave it on "Smart" for a while as an experiment.

Not sure if this related or not but when using the box remote sometimes it switches the TV on and then it doesn’t. Totally random.

My box has started to do this over the last week & is always in the middle of the night.
Had EE tv since June & never happened before
