Hello,
I have been trying to disable the parental lock on EE TV without any success.
I have called several numbers and also looked at the tv settings.
I do not have any restricted channels listed however when I channel hop in Sky Cinema I am prompted to enter my parental pin every time which is very frustrating.
I have called 1818 and 150 without any help.
Thanks
Mike

There is an OFCOM requirement (mandatory daytime PIN) that movie channels must prompt for PIN if showing content rated 15 or 18 during the day - even if parental control is turned off. Could this be what you're seeing?

Yes,I think that must be why I'm constantly being asked to enter a pin when I channel hop.
Many thanks for replying.

I can’t find anything called that, but maybe it’s one of these? :-

What are you trying to achieve? Maybe there’s a way that doesn’t involve bypassing these protections?

Hi @Chrissy2025 I'd recommend following the instructions on the link that @Midnight_Voice posted in their previous post.

Having same problem of trying to turn off parental lock as you have commented on about films and how it’s OFCOM requirement is that the same for Tv channels? Trying to watch game of thrones and need to put pin in 2pm but have locks turned off in settings

Hi @Raybruce
Welcome to the community.
Were you trying to watch in the NOW app on your EE TV or was it live TV?
I've tried to replicate this and in the NOW app I'm not getting presented with a PIN for Game of Thrones.
However, when I connect to Sky Atlantic to watch live, it does ask for my parental PIN and I've got my parental lock switched off, meaning it would apply for live TV as well pre-watershed.
