Hello,
I have been trying to disable the parental lock on EE TV without any success.
I have called several numbers and also looked at the tv settings.
I do not have any restricted channels listed however when I channel hop in Sky Cinema I am prompted to enter my parental pin every time which is very frustrating.
I have called 1818 and 150 without any help.
Thanks
Mike

Observation
I believe Sky extended the use of its mandatory daytime protection rules (ie requiring PIN) from its cinema channels to some of its entertainment channels - effecively to comply with Ofcom broadcasting code rules. Prior to that they would not have broadcast some content in the daytime or had to edit the programmes ( a costly exercise).
If you are viewing on the Now app you will be doing so via a profile that has been setup to have a specific Maturity Rating. Any maturity rating you set in a profile will apply to the live channels too .

It was actually a requirement on a Sky News program that went out at 20.30 a few nights back. I think due to violent images, but I didn’t watch the program and can’t remember exactly what was said
Edit: Actually, it was 20.00 on Saturday

I am also having this problem. I've recently changed to EE from BT where I had no issues like this. Prior to that Virgin Media, again no problems like this. As an adult with no children in the house. I don't think of on should be restricting me. Even if there were children in the house. I make the decisions here. Not ofcom. How can we resolve this issue?

Thanks for coming to the community.
Our Using parental controls on EE page has steps to change the parental controls in the EE app, does this work for you?
If you're unable to update the parental controls in the app, please get in touch with our broadband tech guides and they will get this looked into for you.
