had calls from all these numbers today saying they’re from EE and offering a 40% discount promotion, when they asked how much my last bill was, and since they were all Indian voices, I hung up; assuming it was fraud.  When I searched the numbers through my HIYA security app, they were all landlines apparently from cafes! I’ve blocked all the numbers, but there’s obviously a big scam doing the rounds! They must have hijacked some dormant landline numbers I’d think.

Thanks @AboveRubys

I will flag this with the relevant team and get this looked into.

Would you please be able to provide us with a screen shot of the error?

Katie

Hello Katie,

Attached are the screenshots. I typed out my comment elsewhere, then copied
and pasted it into the comments box. Could this be why it's not being
accepted?

Hi @AboveRubys

Could I ask if you are also putting a % sign in the text box?

If you are, could you please try without.

Same thing applied to me - a few calls over the last few weeks.  I stayed on the call yesterday to see what they offered.  They asked me for a £300 'deposit' which would be returned to me after the 'new account' had been set up, which would save me £600 that year.  I was suspicious when she had no details at all of my current tariff.   I said I was driving and would need to look up my bank details, she was asking for bank etc etc.  I agreed she could call me today, as I wanted to check out the security of this with EE directly.  It is funny - but she hasn't rung me back today!   Do be careful.  I have reported this to EE.

I had the same call and after being passed to a ‘supervisor’ I eventually relented and gave my email address. Should I be concerned?

Hi @Ed144

Welcome to the community.

I would certainly recommend changing the password on your email account, just to be on the safe side.

Did you give any other account information?

What number did the call come from?

Michael
