had calls from all these numbers today saying they’re from EE and offering a 40% discount promotion, when they asked how much my last bill was, and since they were all Indian voices, I hung up; assuming it was fraud.  When I searched the numbers through my HIYA security app, they were all landlines apparently from cafes! I’ve blocked all the numbers, but there’s obviously a big scam doing the rounds! They must have hijacked some dormant landline numbers I’d think.

Had the same call today, the lady was asking for my account information, I asked her how come she didn’t have it but she had my number and she replied she’s from a different department

I have had a call today from a mobile number confirming my bill is going down to £80.00 with all services staying the same.

They started asking for my details which at that point i ended the call.

They requested to reset my security question but i did not give them the 4 digit code

Hello, I've just had a similar call saying EE was offering customers a 40% discount on their bills. The woman asked for my email address and I told her that I never agree to anything unsolicited over the phone, so could EE email me the info instead?

She tried to reassure me that she wasn't going to ask for any personal information and again asked for my email address. I replied that EE already had my email address as that is how they send my bills.

I tried to tell her I was going to end the phone call but she must have realised she wasn't going to get anywhere as she ended the call herself!

I've reported the number to 7726.

Hello @AboveRubys

Thanks for coming here.

You have done the right thing by reporting this and not providing any personal information.

I would recommend reporting this by completing this online form

Katie

Hello Katie, I've tried a few times to submit the form but even after entering the details of the complaint it keeps saying I haven't put in a valid response.

The phone number of the scam call is 07949572277.

Hello @AboveRubys

Thanks so much for flagging this.

Does the error appear at the bottom of the page above the text box?

Katie

Hello Katie,

Underneath the box where you enter details of the incident there's a red
box where it says "enter a valid...."

When I filled out the form there seemed to be another red triangle which
may have had another instruction on it but it was obscured by the red box.

The form let me confirm that I was a human but when I tried to submit it,
it went round in a loop, saying that I hadn't entered a valid response in
the incident box.
