had calls from all these numbers today saying they’re from EE and offering a 40% discount promotion, when they asked how much my last bill was, and since they were all Indian voices, I hung up; assuming it was fraud. When I searched the numbers through my HIYA security app, they were all landlines apparently from cafes! I’ve blocked all the numbers, but there’s obviously a big scam doing the rounds! They must have hijacked some dormant landline numbers I’d think.
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

I have had a similar call today offering 40% discount from:
07383 576614
07456 886422
07445 088518
Thankfully my phone highlights suspected scam calls as other than being difficult to understand seemed like a legit call until they were struggling with my personal details.. Even sent a security text through with a pin.

Hi @DThacker95
You can check if a call is genuine and from us on our How Do We Contact You page.
Or if the call was from our Direct Partners at Phone numbers EE partners will call from.
If you're concerned about unsolicited contact from other companies, you can report the call to be investigated at Report a scam call | Help
Alternatively, text CALL followed by the number that called you, to 7726 .

Received a call from the “EE Discount & Promotions Department” 020 3821 9372.. they offered me a 40% discount on my current mobile phone bill. The background noise of a call centre was very loud. The caller asked me what my last bill was, which I challenged them to tell me as they are supposedly EE representatives. They then rang off.
I assume this is a scam.

@Hof1 It was a scam, report the number that called you. Text CALL to 7726 (SPAM) then forward the number when prompted.

Hi @Pixie101.
Welcome to the community.
If you haven't already, I recommend reporting the number using our Report a scam call form. This will be passed on to our partner Hiya, who’ll use it to improve call protection in the future.
You can find more information about avoiding and preventing scams on our Online Security: Avoid and Prevent Scams Help page.

I received a call today by someone pretending to represent EE and offering a 40% discount. When they asked for my email address and I challenged them by asking them to provide the first half for me to complete the second half, they hang up. Number to be aware of; 203 518 2733

I literally fell for this yesterday. They asked for my full name, address and email address and I put up with it, although suspicious, thinking they were going to ask for my bank details so I could be sure it was a scam. Apparently it was enough for them to order an iPhone 16 on my account. Thankfully I read this comment first thing in the morning as I was unsettled and I've just sorted it out with the EE customer Service line.
Thanks for the heads up.
