replacement sim not working

i've received a replacement sim and been advised to just put it in the phone, but it just keeps saying "no service"

Have you activated your new SIM?

What was the reason for a replacement?

I've tried to activate but not sure how to, i can't see a guide, i needed a replacement as the old one was lost last year, but am in a contract and kept paying for it

I would recommend giving our customer care team a call on 0800 079 8586 free from any landline or provider. 

The team will be able to help set up your new SIM.
