No network and WiFi calling doesn't work

Hi there,

I have full fibre broadband at home, WiFi calling turned on in my phone's settings (Galaxy Z Fold4), option "WiFi preffered" checked. I keep losing mobile network signal completely, most of the time, when I'm at home - it's not any kind of rural or remote area whatsoever. I get "emergency calls only" or "not registered on network" popups while trying to make a phone call, when I have no mobile network signal. WiFi calling seems to be working ONLY if I'm connected to mobile network - what's the point of WiFi calling then?? It appears (as I've read in plenty of posts all over the internet that confirm this) that EE's WiFi calling only works if sim is registered on network, in other words, user has to have at least minimal/worst connection to EE mobile network for WiFi calling to work. If I turn airplane mode ON, then make sure WiFi is also turned ON on my smartphone - NO WiFi calling!! Can you - EE - do something about this? Why WiFi calling drops immediately when I lose mobile signal completely, albeit being constantly connected to my WiFi?

I already checked with my broadband provider and there's nothing that could potentially block WiFi calling from working.

I also did the same test with airplane mode and WiFi on to check if WiFi calling would work on my other phone, also on EE but PAYGO - exactly the same result, no network - no WiFi calling.

I've read that WiFi calling under any other mobile network operator doesn't work like that - I could have no mobile network at all, but WiFi calling would work - as it should be, what's the point of WiFi calling on EE then?

No idea where you got this idea from, but  the very basis of WiFi-calling is that it enables full use of your phone when there is minimal or no mobile coverage.

Is this issue specific to your home WiFi? Do other phones work on your home WiFi? Does your phone work using WiFi elsewhere?

You need to eliminate either your WiFi router or phone, from the equation here - and prove either of them with alternate kit.
