ive orderd a replacement sim but don't have the old one to hand

no its just saying no service in the top left

This sounds like the SIM is not active @rustygroove

Do you have access to another phone? if yes, please call 07953 966 250. 

Our customer care team will be able to help activate this.

Do you have an EE Store nearby?

You can also pick a free replacement up from there when you visit with photo ID.

I have a new sim and old phone its just saying no service in the top corner

What happens when you select 'Activate my SIM' within your EE account @rustygroove?

This option can be found by following these steps:

Plans & subscriptions > Settings > Scroll down to Activate my SIM.
