keeping old number but "new number" is not a uk number?

Hi i want to keep my old number so i followed the instructions and got my PAC code however i am at that stage where to include your new EE number i got through my sim card but it's saying its not a UK number when it's clearly the number i was given.

Call EE CS on 150 from your mobile, the CS agent can submit your PAC for you.
