Hello all! So just recieved my sim, and gone to link it to my EE ID. it says its done, but it doesnt show in the app.How long does it take to show in the app?

I need an eSim activation but it needs a PIN sent to my phone number. I cannot receive the PIN without an active eSim. What a stupid system! Obviously my phone is not working. How do I get past this? Thanks
