Hi @Bikerjec

If the PAC code is not being recognised you can provide this over the phone to our customer care team by calling 150 from your EE handset.

But what if you can't get a signal?

Hi @WhyDidIDoThis

Does the EE SIM card show no signal?

When did you receive the EE SIM?

Leanne 🙂

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

I spoke to a EE tech support guy who was great. He explained that the Plusnet customers coming over to EE (as part of the transfer deals offered) who want to keep their Plusnet mobile number are automatically ported over within a day of the EE SIM (with the new EE 'temporary' number) being registered on the EE network by putting it in your phone. Once that is done you then have to put the Plusnet SIM back in to use the phone until the porting over/number transfer  is complete usually within 24 hours (before 5.30 that day). When the Plusnet SIM no longer connects to that network, you know the transfer with your desired number, is complete.

This is the reason the Plusnet PAC is not being recognised when you try to use the EE number retention/transfer form (Which is currently being used on the EE site).

Unfortunately no-one at EE seemed think it would be a good idea to tell anyone about this, so I had an hour of headbanging frustration  this morning that could have been easily avoided....

and I should have made it clear...

Once you done the above and the Plusnet SIM stops working on that network you have to replace it in your phone with the new EE SIM. You should then have your old number on the 'new' EE network all up and running....

I'll let you know if/when it works.

Just in case anyone finds that useful....

Once you have done the above...my typo...

Thanks very much for sharing @WhyDidIDoThis

I am sure this will be very useful for other customers 🙂

Leanne.

Thanks for sharing this info. I've just spent an hour trying with my PAC being rejected. Has it worked?

Hi, Yes it works, as per my rather garbled contribution above. Don't forget to go back to your old Plusnet SIM for the day or so it takes for the transfer to complete...comes up with a text only service message and then you know it's time to put the EE SIM in again.

All the best.
