Upgraded to a Data SIM instead of a Phone SIM.

I upgrade my SIM plan 6 months ago and funnily enough, haven't had to make a phone call in that time period. I just recently tried using my phone to contact someone and was met with the hang up tone on my phone. I've now checked and since realised I have upgraded to a Data SIM so I can't make outgoing calls or receive incoming calls (Only positive is no scam calls).

My query is, do I just have to bite the bullet and purchase a 2nd sim plan or is there a number within EE that I can contact to potentially get me switched over to a plan where I can make phone calls? I'm not bothered if I have to pay an extra fee or if my monthly payments would be a little higher, I'd just like this solved if possible. My own stupidity got me here so I welcome all the wisdom I can get.

Appreciate any help!

As you are on contract, you should still be able to make & receive calls, even on a data SIM plan. You just gotta pay for them & these charges will just be added to your monthly bill.

The only thing that could stop them would be a Spend Cap of £0. What does texting SPEND CAP to 150 from your no. fully report verbatim (it is free)?
