Text messaged are going out with temp EE no after porting is complete

Hello,

EE texted and confirmed this morning that my existing number transfer to new EE plan is now complete but my outgoing text are still going thought the temp EE number.

Is this a common issue after the porting has been complete? if yes, how can I resolve this?

The sim manager and EE acount shows the existing old number but text and calls are going with new temp number.

When exactly was your number ported in?

If you send a text to your new number, do you receive it?

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

I received the confirmation from EE like 3 hours ago around 12:30.

I do not received a text after sending it to new number

Thanks for reaching out to us here on the Community!

When it comes to number transfers, we do recommend that it can take up until midnight of the transfer date for everything to fully move across.

If someone else sends you a message to the number you'd like to keep, does this come through to your EE SIM?

Yes, If someone sends me a message to the number I want to keep, it comes through my EE SIM.

However, if I reply back to that the outgoing number is the EE temp no i received with sim that is supposed to go away.

What I'd recommend doing is head into your messages and select Menu (3 dots in the top right) > Settings > Chat Settings, then look at what number is showing in here. 

If it's the wrong number, try turning this off and leave it until the morning, then turn it back on and restart your phone. 

Everything should be fully complete with the port at this point, so when you restart this should have changed on the SIM too.

Ignore all the advice below (or possibly above). You need to do a sim swap. I've recently ported over 3 numbers from VF and had this issue with all of them. After HOURS on the phone to EE, multiple different pieces of advice,  being told it'll be sorted tomorrow, wait 24hrs, turn it off and on again etc etc etc I finally took it in to a store and one of the staff said he knows what's wrong. He did a sim swap and everything was then sorted. Never known anything like it. They also got my monthly payment wrong ON ALL 3 NUMBERS!! along with various other issues. Never known incompetence like it... but hey ho, I'm going off the subject now. Sim swap is the answer, don't let anyone at EE tell you otherwise, they haven't got a clue!!

In regards to your monthly payments, have you spoken to our mobile guides on 150 to get this looked into?
