Porting Issue

Hi,

I recently transfered from O2, new sim inserted and followed the required steps and the porting process via text.

Was told in the reply porting would be complete by now, I can call outbound but can't receive calls or texts.

I've obviously lost my network coverage now on my old number via my O2 sim so no one can contact me or has been able to for most of the day (required for work) so I'm having to rely on emails etc which isn't ideal or an issue I'd expected to encounter.

Any help in sorting this would be much appreciated.

*Apologies, I should have added it says my number is not recognised for those trying to call me.

Cheers Paul

You have a short time after posting to edit, negating the need for multiple short replies.

What you've described is a very typical "split port" which usually resolves itself by the end of the day. You shouldn't lose all incoming calls though, I would recommend contacting EE-CS on 150 from your mobile - they have access to your individual account and can check the status of your specific port.

Hi @Pauluk85

Welcome to the Community Forums, great to hear you have joined us!

As @bristolian mentioned, you're experience a "Split Service" which can happen while the number is being transferred between networks.

In the first instance- please switch both old network and your EE SIM card off for a few minutes and back on, This usually helps complete the transfer as it allows the network to update the records and routing.
