Mobile Network State - Disconnected

Currently in the USA with a 7 day roaming pass.

I've tried everything to dial out but to no avail. I've got a dental issue and need to contact my insurance.

Android phone saying mobile network state disconnected. I switched flight mode on/off. Checked settings. Tried manual network. And other stuff but no joy.

EE called me back but it didn't ring?

Can someone check the settings please at your end. Very frustrated especially paying £30.00 a week.

Fingers crossed. Would love the WhatsApp service to be introduced.

This user discussion forum can have no access to your specific account. You need to raise this with CS.

Often just rebooting the phone is the simple remedy. Also try selecting a network manually rather than auto.

Did you receive a Welcome text upon arrival?

As you are on contract, did you activate roaming on your EE a/c before leaving UK by texting ROAMING to 150? Having a roaming billing add-on doesn't of itself activate roaming on your a/c. Having roaming activated on your EE a/c, not just on your device, is crucial to using your contract SIM abroad.

Otherwise if you are on contract you need to call CS to get your roaming activated. Try calling CS on the Freephone no. in my sig. using a web-calling app over WiFi.

Thanks I've tried everything. I was in Spain a few weeks ago and it worked fine.

Maybe in Spain you only had EU roaming activated. Now in USA you need worldwide roaming.

@XRaySpeX

Strangely after using EE's virtual assistant who said I didn't have a roaming pass (1 day 7 hours left on it?) and my spend cap may have been fully used up (No it wasn't) then my phone appears to be working fine again 😎

Thank you for the replies, appreicated.

What did "everything" include? Clearly not dealing with EE-CS as suggested.....

Thanks! You're welcome 🙂 ! Glad I could be of assistance & trust it is now sorted.
