Suspended account

Hi,

I initally bought a EE pay as you go sim from tescos for 15 pounds with 25 GB. This sim was unable to call and wouldnt connect to the internet. I called EE the next day to find that the card was suspended at no fault of my own. They then advised me to go for the monthly plan as I am a student and they said I could do a contract free month to try out for 14 pounds. When I recieved the confirmation email I had found out that they had put me onto a 24 month contract when I tried to call no representatives were available to speak. Then a couple hours later I received a message from EE saying that my account has been suspended again. This has been really inconvenient to me as these are my first few days in the uk and I have been unable to access mobile network when out and about. And if I now want to cancel my contract i have to pay 300 pounds for not even using 1 GB of data and zero phone calls. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

Hello @berry7 ,

Welcome to the community,

You will get a refund, as they have suspended your account. I am not sure how they actually put you on a contract, as you do have to pass a credit and as you have not been here very long, you would not have built up a credit. You really would need a pay as you go.

I would suggest speaking to customer service again, or if you are near an EE high street store go there when they are open and they should be able to help.

If you did it online or on the phone, you have 14 days cooling off period and will get your money back.

To contact EE customer service dial 150 from your mobile phone or ring customer service for free using Skype or another phone: +44 800 079 8586 or +44 800 956 6000.
