Esim installation issue

Hi all,

I recently (14/09/2024) swapped to EE from O2. I'm keeping my old phone number and I tried the installation of the esim. I installed the esim using the QR code and the installation worked but for some reasons I wasn't able to make calls or use the data. So I erased the esim and tried to install it again using the QR code. But now when I try the installation fails and it says to contact the Carrier. I've also tried to use the EE app and when I try I get the following :

Welcome to the community,

If you only moved from 02 to EE on 14th September, then you need to wait until after the weekend before your number is moved over, you will receive a message saying  that the transfer is complete.

Does your 02 SIM card still work or has it stopped working?

The old O2 sim still works. My concerns are that when the transfer happen, if I can't install the esim I'll have the issue to not have the line. I was planning to go to an EE store tomorrow morning if I can't install the esim by then.
