Hi.
I have a new phone arriving tomorrow and have ordered a new pay monthly Sim card and via the EE web site. I couldn't find anywhere during the order process to order to specify an E sim. Is it possible to change to an E sim before the actual sim card arrives? I am going away tomorrow night and would like to activate it before I leave if possible.
I have tried to view orders via the EE web site but the site keeps telling me that my account is closed. I did have an EE account years ago but cancelled it. I'm not sure now whether my new sim card is going to show on my account as the account was for an old sim account long since closed.

Hello @wesser1 ,
Welcome to the community,
Did you order a replacement SIM card or a new SIM card with a new number? I take it it was not an upgrade. You will not be able to activate an ESim if a new number, as you first have to have the SIM card before you can change to an ESIM, but if you are near an EE high street store with a valid photo ID such as passport or driving license, then you may be able to get the new SIM card and possibly change it to an ESim.

Hi Shockwave,
Thanks for your reply, yes, this is a new sim with a new number.
I guess, I'll just have to be patient and wait for it to arrive in the post.

Morning @wesser1
Thanks for coming to the community and for placing an order.
When the SIM card arrives and you register the new number and email address you used to create the EE ID in the EE app this should show the new account for you. If the EE account still shows as closed, please give us a call on 150 and the team can remove the old account details so you can register the new EE account in the app 🙂
If you have any questions, please let us know.
Leanne.
