Some customers are having issues with activating SIM cards  online and over the phone with EE it says that your Sim card has already been activated when it has not been activated  this , is currently being looked in to by the back office team at ee moderators, please keep me informed of any other changes. Thanks

Was it a brand new EE line you originally has issues with, rather than a SIM you'd had for a while?

No, it was the Sim card I had for awhile

We don't have any open issues for SIM registrations, so it sounds like this could be related to your specific account, @c9 

I can only suggest speaking with our technical support team again so they can look into this further for you.

I got my replacement SIM and they said 'just pop it in and it will work' - it doesn't. How was your issue resolved?
