Good afternoon @cjillsley.

Welcome to the EE Community 😊

Just to be sure here, am I right in thinking that it's a network settings reset you've done here, and this has locked the SIM so it's asking for a PUK code?

What model of phone is it you're using at the moment, and where was it you got the PUK from?

Peter

Hi Peter,

I have the S24 ultra.

I have managed to unlock it now.

I reset my WiFi on my mobile due to some apps not loading on wifi, (does it on network usage). I restarted my mobile and when I put my pin in to unlock it refused it.
I therefore logged into my EE account to retrieve my PUK code. After a few attempts it finally worked.

However, apps Instagram and Pinterest still won't work on wifi.
So annoying!
I'm sure it's down to a setting on the mobile but can not figure it out.

Thank you for getting in touch

I'm really glad to hear that's all unlocked for you now @cjillsley

Definitely an odd one with your WiFi though.

Will these apps work fine over mobile data, and have you checked to make sure your software is all up to date?

Peter

Hi Peter,

Yes perfect on mobile data just comes up with error on wifi.
I have also looked in settings on the apps to check they are ticked on wifi, which they are.

Cheers for checking that, @cjillsley.

Is your software all up to date at the moment too?

Also who is your broadband provider, and have you tried loading these apps on a different device?

Peter

Yes, tried all that too 🙈

Thanks for giving all of that a shot @cjillsley.

Are other devices on your WiFi still able to access these sites okay?

I know on mobile our strictest content lock setting blocks social media, so my thought was that there could be a parental control setting out of line somewhere here.

Peter

I only have the one mobile at the moment, would have to get someone to try there's

That's no problem, was worth checking just in case @cjillsley.

If everything is good with your data, I'm definitely thinking this is the handset.

A few users have reported similar via Samsung's Community and I've found a thread on it that could be worth checking out 😊

If you have no success there it could be worth checking in with your broadband provider too.
