New mobile and no connection - New contract

Trying to get my mobile up and running and transfer my old number over. Sounds easy doesn't it, well it is actually - Give them a PAC code and they do the rest. However it's more than 72 hours since I asked EE to get my phone up ad running. Still no setup and now I can't get through to customer service. Sounds like they are in meltdown. Please tell me this is a glitch or is it a true reflection of my relationship going forward with EE customer service and technical support?!! Not sure if its worth the trouble to be honest.
I need a positive response.

I believe EE may have network issues today. Probably customers calling.
Have you tried restarting your device? If you have an iPhone try resetting your network settings.

EE standard opening hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 9pm - Saturday and Sunday, 8am to 8pm.

It has been bad today ...no problems usually ....finally got through on chat issues with service ... why can't they let us know by text or on app ( when you finally get to log on 8 attempts!)

Which day did you submit your PAC? And was it before or after 5.30pm?
