I contacted BT about a completely unrelated issue and ended up being migrated across to EE with the promise of easy transfer of my existing mobile number. Having spoken to 3 different people/call handlers I still haven’t retrieved my normal number despite promises of it being sorted
is anyone else experiencing this - feeling very let down by now and not confident that I’ll get my number back

We have no account access here on the community so will not be able to check the status of your port.
I would recommend giving us a call on 150 and our customer care team will be able to provide you with a full update.

So far not so good…
Still waiting for my existing number to be transferred. Spoken to 3 ‘help’ staff already and still haven’t got my old number back
How long does it take? Anyone know?

A PAC is usually actioned the working day after you submit it.

I think that was the gist of the message I received from one call handler - they have the PAC details but I’m still waiting..

From this page:
"If you submit the form before 5.30pm on a working day, we will endeavour to have your number transferred the following working day.
If your request is made after 5.30pm, or made on a weekend or bank holiday, your number will take two working days to transfer.
Please allow time for us to complete your request. For example, if you submit your details at 5.25pm this may not allow us quite enough time to complete for the following working day. However, we will do our best to transfer your number in a timely manner."

Hi Katie
This has been ongoing since Tuesday morning
I’m still without my usual phone number and my usual ‘contacts’ can’t get get in touch
Are you employed by EE? Can you help?
I have PAC codes for both my wife’s phone and my own bu have been assured that EE already have these

Thanks Paul - I am still waiting for my usual phone number to be restored.
I got the impression that all was with EE to pick up my number fro BT - I haven’t filled in any forms but a call handler from EE had my PAC codes

just to update- i kept my BT Sim card in the phone and today more than 1 week later, received notification that my BT Sim is no longer working and advising that all is now with my new provider - EE.
Finally inserted my EE Sim and success - I also have my old Mobile number
