Just changed today from Plusnet to EE and awaiting new SIM cards

Hi there ... following a recent email from Plusnet advising they are ceasing to provide mobile phone services and offering me a competitive deal to transfer to EE ( I have two Plusnet sim only accounts ), I rang and agreed on two new sim only contracts with EE.  He further advised that I would be sent two new EE sims and once they are installed, I need to phone anybody on each phone and that action would transfer my account to EE and retain my numbers etc.  I have also been emailed PAC codes for each phone but no mention was made of the PAC code requirement in my telephone conversation. Do I assume therefore that "fitting the new sim cards and phoning anybody" is the only action I will have to take or will the provided PAC codes still be required?   Thanks ...

@Snoopy48 : PACs (Porting Authorising Codes) are required to port nos. between networks. So, yes, you will need to give them to EE to port your PN nos. to EE.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband or Option 2 for Home Broadband & Home Phone

ISPs: 1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up > 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB > 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB > 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU > 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU > 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC > 2014: EE 20 Meg WBC > 2020: EE 40 Meg FTTC > 2022:EE 80 Meg FTTC SoGEA > 2025 EE 150 Meg FTTP

Appreciate the response!  Actually, the PAC codes provided by email were not required as the changeover from Plusnet To EE was indeed as seamless as they stated and once I had installed the new SIMs in each phone, I then rang 'any number' as they advised ( actually rang my landline ) and by 10am the next morning, both my current numbers had successfully been changed to the new SIM. The only complication was that EE did not make it that obvious which SIM had to be allocated to which phone ( they are mobile specific ) and I had to ring customer services to confirm that exact situation.  The advisor also explained that my PAC codes had been sent on 'internally' so I had no need to personally provide them at any stage. Everything is working fine and I'm happy with the upgrade to 5G now on my iPhone 13 Pro.
