Google Pixel 7 eSIM

Hi,

I just got a Google Pixel 7. I normally use dual SIM phones because I have a Spanish phone and an English one and thought I would be able to do the same with the eSIM. However, when I try to set up the eSIM, it asks to add an EE QR code, but the SIM I want to add is not an EE SIM. Is there a way to add a second SIM that is not EE?

Just spent the best part of an hour speaking to EE

1. First advisor. Can't help but will speak to level 2 (whatever that is). Level 2 can't help. Put me through to Google

2. Google. Nothing to do with us , speak to EE

3. Back to EE. Can't help but I'll send an online form to another department.

So far, spent so much time trying to sort this and no one able to help. Look forward to the end of my contract.

Hi @Shah954,

Are you going to Settings > Network and internet > Sims > Add SIM > Set up an eSIM?

James

Yes

Hi @Shah954

Thanks for coming back to us.

Can you try with the EE SIM card removed, does the same happen?

Leanne.

Tried with SIM removed and different network SIM in the phone. Still get the same thing. Feels like there's some ee settings on the phone that needs to be removed or adjusted

Hi @Shah954

Thanks for coming back to me.

If our tech guides have sent a support ticket for this to be investigated, they will be in touch once they have an update.

Please let me know how you get on 🙂

Leanne.

Had a message back saying they unlocked the phone. No change. Still not working.

Thanks for coming back to me @Shah954

Do you have another physical network SIM card you could try to see if this works?

Leanne.

Yes. Physical Sims work in dual mode.
