Google Pixel 7 eSIM

Hi,

I just got a Google Pixel 7. I normally use dual SIM phones because I have a Spanish phone and an English one and thought I would be able to do the same with the eSIM. However, when I try to set up the eSIM, it asks to add an EE QR code, but the SIM I want to add is not an EE SIM. Is there a way to add a second SIM that is not EE?

@zoelopezayucar   If you’re not putting the EE phone number on the eSim then you need to obviously asked for your Spanish network provider for the information on how to do this.       This has nothing todo with EE.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

Hi Chris, thank you.

Yes, I understand that, is just that when I ask the phone to add a eSim it says 'please scan code provided by EE'. It doesn't seem to give me the option to add a different network?

And even if I were to add the eSIM as my EE number and then have the Spanish one as a physical one, it asks for a QR code that I haven't got and I don't know where to find.

Any ideas?

@zoelopezayucar  if you want to add your EE number to the eSIM on your phone, you can do this via the My EE app.    Open the My EE app click the person icon top right, then click settings and permissions and scroll down to activate Sim/eSIM.   You will need your EE Sim card in the phone to do this. Once completed you can remove the EE sim from the device and put your Spanish Sim in the device

if you want to move your Spanish number to the eSIM, then you need to speak with your Spanish network provider on how to do this.   EE can not migrate the Spanish phone number to the eSim.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

Hi @zoelopezayucar

have the same issue, I even took my EE SIM out, reset networks etc and restarted phone and it still said "scan QR Code from ee"

I'm not sure what to do, have you tried scanning the Spanish eSim and see if it bypasses ? It's very weird.

Anyone managed to find a fix for this?

Good morning @Shah954

Welcome to the EE Community.

Are you receiving an error when trying to download an eSIM?

Is it an international number you wish to use for an eSIM or a physical?

Katie

I have a EE physical SIM already installed. I'm trying to add an esim from a different provider for roaming. Done it on my husbands Three network Samsung easily. But on my pixel it keeps asking for a qr code from EE.

Thanks for confirming @Shah954.

Do you have a QR code from the different provider?
