Hi
I am currently roaming in south africa and have paid for global roaming, however i am unable to recieve calls or texts.
It does not seem to be a network issue as i am able to make calls, but when i try call EE they say they will send a text to speak directly with someone that does then not arrive.
I have tried restarting my phone but that does not work either. I have tried increasing my spend cap and that doesnt work.
Being unable to get through to someone to talk to who can assist is incredibly frustrating. The EE automated voicecall is not very useful as i just end up in a circle with them sending texts that arent coming through and am now completely stuck

Global roaming is not something you pay for, I think you're confused with a billing add-on. But your ability to make outbound calls demonstrates that the (free) roaming facility is enabled.
Have you tried manually cycling through each available local network in-turn. Also try sending a text to your own number - do you receive this?
