The information on the add and in the contract seems contradictory. The ad lists free roaming but the contract seems to suggest it might be a paid extra?

Not to worry,
It is a tad confusing but wanted to make sure I was clear for the OP in case they got the wrong idea.
What I'm going to call "legacy" All Rounder and Full Works plans (taken before 29th August 2024 a.k.a Tariff Refresh 24) had to select their Roaming Passes as an Inclusive Extra in order to get no-charge roaming access. This was in the form of the Roam Abroad Pass previously, but it has now been replaced with 2 separate passes: an EU Roaming Pass and a ROW Roaming Pass (Zone 1) on these 'legacy' plans.
For plans taken on or since 29th August 2024, it has been simplified: All Rounder plans get EU Roaming and Full Works plans get EU + ROW Zone 1.
These plans will also include a single Inclusive Extra choice, with All Rounder giving the 'basic' options and Full Works giving the 'premium' options.
These new plans' Inclusive Extra options no longer include any Roaming Passes, as they are 'built-in' to the tier of plan already.

The all rounder plan gives you charge free roaming in EU, it also comes with the option to add an inclusive extra which covers Zone 1 destinations ie turkey or USA but you can swap ur inclusive extra each month.

All Rounder plans include no-charge EU Roaming as standard. This is confirmed in the Terms and Conditions listed here: https://ee.co.uk/help/terms-and-conditions/mobile/pay-monthly/phone-plans
This is usually in the form of an add-on such as Roam in EU being added as part of the tariff change, which allows Roaming in EU destinations without additional daily or weekly charges.
If you look further into the plan details, does it mention this add-on anywhere?
It likely wouldn't mention the EU in that top line as there is a fair usage policy of up to 50GB of your data allowance while roaming in the EU Zone.
The pre-contract information sometimes doesn't reflect the full detail of everything included.
You've also included screenshots of 2 different plans, one being an Essentials Plus and the other being an All Rounder. Both should include no-charge EU Roaming in any case.

This is incorrect.
Roaming passes are no longer Inclusive Extra options on plans taken on or after 29th August 2024, they are instead baked into the plans themselves in addition to being able to use the Inclusive Extra on something else.
Your advice only applies to plans sold before this date.
All Rounder plans only include no-charge EU Roaming. All Rounder customers would need to pay for access to Zone 1 destinations.
Full Works is the only actively sold plan that includes no-charge EU AND Zone 1 Roaming.
