Hi - looking for some help please as I'm self employed and trying to work. I'm away - access to Data (I bought a 7 day roaming pack for £25) but since arriving in the USA, I can't make any calls or texts (also can't receive) Help!
Using a new Samsung S24 - have tried connecting to other local network operators (AT&T, T-mobile, verizon wireless etc) but no joy. Really need to get this sorted ASAP. Tried turning on and off the phone. Have successfully been roaming in Spain with no issues - USA seems to be a problem.
Any help massively appreciated. I can't even get in touch with EE because can't make a call!

Your ability to get coverage abroad (which calls, texts & mobile data rely on) is dependent on roaming being activated - which allows your phone to connect to foreign networks. Roaming can be enabled on an EU-only basis, or fully global. Your symptoms are consistent with EU-only roaming being active.
If you are on pay-monthly and now find yourself abroad without having enabled roaming, or outside the EU with EU-only roaming, your only recourse will be to contact CS to request it activated. You can either contact +44 7953 966150 from another working phone, or +44 800 9566000 using a web-calling app such as Skype over WiFi.

Thank you, that's helpful. I'm contract pay monthly so I'll try first to go
onto my online roaming and see if I can activate non eu roaming.
Roaming is not an option available via your myEE online account - if it was, I'd have mentioned that. It used to be, and was so much easier to resolve this kind of issue!

Do you know if there's a skype contact method for monthly customers?
Yes, check the last paragraph of my previous post. Copied again below, with the numbers put in bold.
