Hi All, I am Emmanuel Katto form Uganda. I'm planning a trip to Europe and I'm considering purchasing a portable Wi-Fi hotspot to stay connected while I'm away. I have an EE pay-as-you-go plan with a monthly allowance of 5GB of data. My question is: does this data allowance include data usage on a portable Wi-Fi hotspot, or is it only applicable to my own phone/tablet/laptop?
I've read through the EE website and the terms and conditions, but I couldn't find any specific information on this. Can anyone who has used a portable Wi-Fi hotspot with EE provide some clarification?
Thanks!
Emmanuel Katto

@emmanuelkatto : Your PAYG SIM may be used in any device you choose.
On PAYG there are charges for using your pack allowances in the EU of either £2.50 / day or £10 / week, to be taken only from your PAYG credit, not your recurring card payment. If you opt for neither or you don't have an active pack, you will be paying standard rates for calls & texts & need to buy a PAYG add-on for data.
As you are on PAYG, make sure you have already used your PAYG SIM to make a call or text in the UK.
