Unable to top up online

Hi all. I'm trying to top up from my mobile using the usual EE site but keep.getting an error message. I select the amount, select the card I usually use and put in the CVC. Then I get a oops, error message. I tried to.add another card and pay from that but get the same message.

I haven't used the EE SIM for a while and found EE had stopped my monthly top up without me knowing. This means my balance is zero and I'm worried about losing the number.

Any ideas welcome. Thanks.

@Lisa88 : Try using Fast Top-up online to pay by UK bank card. You don't need to login or register anything. All you need is your mobile no. & it doesn't remember your card details.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband or Option 2 for Home Broadband & Home Phone

ISPs: 1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up > 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB > 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB > 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU > 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU > 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC > 2014: EE 20 Meg WBC > 2020: EE 40 Meg FTTC > 2022:EE 80 Meg FTTC SoGEA > 2025 EE 150 Meg FTTP

Thanks XRay. I just tried that but get a 'some errors may have occured' message. Could EE have blocked my number without telling me? I had a message yesterday that I needed to make a chargeable call or lose the number (hence trying to top up as my balance was zero). I know it still works for incoming messages so am bemused.

Hi @Lisa88,

Your account would enter hibernation if you hadn't used a chargeable service for over 179 days.

Please see What is pay as you go and flex hibernation, and how do I stop it? - The EE Community for more details.
