SIM card

Hi! So in the last month I have temporarily moved to Taiwan, where I am staying until the end of June to study. It has made more sense financially to buy a new local sim out here, however I still have my EE SIM safe for when I'm back. I've just received a notification saying that in 5 days it will be deactivated as it is no longer in my phone. I will need this SIM to be active upon my return to the UK, is there any was it can be kept active the whole time even though it's not going to be in my phone again for another few months?

Thanks:)

@claralangrick   If the sim wasn’t in the device how did you receive this notification?   EE do not switch off a sim because it’s not in a device.    SIM cards enter hibernation after three months of no use you then get another 3 months to call customer services to get reactivated..    perhaps you should read THIS

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

@claralangrick : You need to put the EE SIM back in your phone & send a chargeable text to someone in the next 5 days to save it going into hibernation.
