Hi,
I have a sim only contract which I have had a text informing me it expires in 2 weeks time, if I do nothing I will pay £22 a month. I no longer need the amount of GB I receive and wish to get a sim card which has less GB and is cheaper.
I log into the app but does not really give me choices to downgrade so I phoned up, first gentleman I could not understand, English was very poor, I tried to explain I have a hearing impairment but no change.
I phoned again and this gentleman was very pushy saying I would be better off having a contract with a phone included, I do not want this, after a few minutes I put the phone down. Why do they make it so difficult to downgrade!
My question is, if I went into a EE shop and they sort this out for me?
Many thanks
Malc

Thanks for coming to the community.
You certainly can visit an EE store for them to discuss your SIM Only options and finding the best plan for your needs.
Our EE store page lets you find your nearest store, opening hours and gives you the option to book an appointment if you wanted to.

Have you tried to look at your account online? If I log into mine, I see a banner about upgrading. There's a few SIM only "deals" that are under £22 listed, but no standard plans under £22.
The cheaper price plans tend to be speed limited though, so ensure you check what you are signing up for and what is and isn't included. (E.g. EU roaming). If you upgrade in store, you have no right to cancel.

Thank you both, I will visit my local EE store tomorrow and report back.
